Liquid/leave-in

Cream

The LOC method is made up of 3 products; liquid/leave-in-conditioner, oil and cream that work together to keep hair moisturised until your next wash day. Using the LOC method after a wash reduces damage, improves hair elasticity and keeps has moisturised which is essentials for hair growth. This method relies on applying products in a specific order in order to maximise moisture retention.

Step 1: Liquid/Leave-in

The L stands for liquid or leave-in-conditioner, both the liquid and leave-in-conditioner are used to add moisture to the hair. You can use water to add moisture or apply the water-based Eco Essentials Detangling Mist to add moisture to your hair.

Step 2: Oil

The next step is to apply oil to your hair. The application of the oil helps to seals in moisture. The amount of oil applied depends on the porosity of the hair. High porosity hair dries out faster and will require more oil than low porosity hair.

Step 3: Cream

The final step is to apply a butter-based or creamy moisturiser to your hair. The cream locks in moisture and also helps to define curls. Our Daily Repair & Nourish Hair Butter is formulated with Shea Butter and Grape seed oil to nourish and strengthen, protect hair from damage and ease manageability.

I would have thought that the LCO method makes more sense; because oil is a sealant. Why seal before you add the cream? Please help me understand.
